Irish airline Aer Lingus is expected to continue its flexible booking option for people planning to book a vacation abroad this summer.
The pandemic has meant that vacations have become a thing of the past as all overseas travel has been discouraged.
With the increase in cases across the world, people have decided to stay at home in an effort to curb the spread of the virus.
However, there is hope on the horizon that we can go on vacation in the sun again with the arrival of a Covid-19 vaccine.
And Aer Lingus is now extending its flexible booking policy until September 30, 2021.
The policy means that people traveling with Aer Lingus on any type of fare will be able to change their travel dates for free, and as many times as they want, up to two hours before their trip.
Some fares also include the ability to redeem a voucher up to 14 days before travel to any destination or within 14 days if a country’s travel advice changes or if customers decide they don’t want to. not travel.
This includes if a country moves red on the EU travel framework.
Vouchers can be used to book travel to / from any destination in the Aer Lingus network within the next five years.
A price difference may apply, however, but unlimited changes can be made to all bookings until September 30, 2021.
The fare types include Plus, Smart, Advantage, Flex, Business, or Business Flex fares.
David Shepherd, Commercial Director of Aer Lingus, said: “We understand that planning ahead is a challenge right now, but we also recognize the need for something to look forward to.
“We hope that by expanding our flexible booking options, our customers can have the confidence to plan their summer vacation knowing that their booking can be changed at no additional cost.”
